Planter's Punch is an IBA Official Cocktail made from dark rum, some juice, grenadine syrup, sugar syrup, and bitter Angostura.
The cocktail is said to have originated from the Planters Hotel in Charleston, SC. The September 1878 edition of the London magazine Fun lists the recipe as follows:
