Steve Jablonsky

Steve Jablonsky (born October 9, 1970) is an American composer of film, television and video games, renowned for his musical score in the Transformers film series. Some of his frequent collaboration partners include film directors Michael Bay and Peter Berg, and fellow composer Hans Zimmer.

Jablonsky went to the University of California, Berkeley for college. He studied computer science at the beginning, but switched to musical composition a year later. After graduating, he became an apprentice at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions, after coldly calling the studio to ask if they needed help. During that time, Jablonsky met Harry Gregson-Williams, a fellow composer from Zimmer, and began working as his assistant. Then he became more involved with Zimmer and began writing for works like Desperate Housewives and Transformers movie series.

Careers

Jablonsky has composed the soundtrack for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies (2003), Steamboy (2004), The Island (2005), > Transformers (2007), D-War (2007), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), Transformer: Dark of the Moon (2011), Battleship (2012), Game Ender (2013) (replacing famous film composer James Horner), Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014), and Transformers: The Last Knight (2017). He is also a contributor in World Police (2004) among many others. In addition, he helped write some music to the Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty video game, and composed the theme music for BBC Seven Wonders of the Industrial World in 2003. He also has been writing music for Desperate Housewives (2004 - 2012) since the fourth episode. The Trailblazing track serves as the opening theme for WrestleMania X8 and WrestleMania XIX, as well as on the soundtrack for the TNA Hall of Fame induction of Sting.

Jablonsky also wrote music for Command & amp; Conquered 3: Tiberium Wars , replacing former Command & amp; Conquer music composer Frank Klepacki, who can not write a game score because of his involvement with Universe at War: Earth Assault .

Jablonsky has worked for Harry Gregson-Williams in Media Ventures, a music production company conceived and founded by Jay Rifkin and Hans Zimmer, for seven years. His latest projects include scores for South Korean movies D-War , Gears of War 3 for the Xbox 360 game console, and music for The Sims 3 >

Currently, Jablonsky works in Zimmer studio, Remote Control Productions, which has been mentored by members of Zimmer and Nick Glennie-Smith, and former members Harry Gregson-Williams and Klaus Badelt.

In February 2015, Jablonsky was hired to compile a score for The Last Witch Hunter . He also created a soundtrack for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, a sequel to and Peter Berg 2016 Deepwater Horizon , starring Mark Wahlberg and Kurt Russell.
