After Dark Horrorfest (also known as "8 Films to Die For") is an annual horror film festival featuring eight independent horror movies, sometimes with a "secret" bonus movie, all distributed by After Dark Films in AMERICA UNION. The first HorrorFest was held in 2006.
In 2011, Horrorfest was replaced by After Dark Originals, which consisted of the original film from After Dark and not the previous one.

After Dark's HorrorFest for 2006 is scheduled for November 17th to November 21st, 2006.
Movies
The films featured during the festival are:
- The Abandoned
- A film producer, who was adopted as an infant and sent to America, returned to Russia and his family farm. Once there, strange things begin to happen. Upon completion of the festival, the film was re-released to the public theaters on February 23, 2007.
- Dark Ride
- Ten years after he murdered two girls brutally, a murderer escaped from a mental institution and returned to his territory, an amusement park attraction called "Dark Ride" where he targeted a group of six college kids on their way to Spring Break.
- The Gravedancers
- A group of friends lives invaded by a hostile ghost trio after they engage in a drunken bunch of dancing while waking up for an old friend.
- The Hamiltons
- The perfect American family, made up of four very different siblings who try to survive after the death of their parents, is always kind, loves and respects their neighbors... except that they usually end up killing them.
- Penny Dreadful
- A young girl and her therapist travel to help her overcome a car riding phobia. This journey turns deadly when an escaping mental patient starts a new killing.

- A Japanese film crew recreates a horrible massacre in a rural hotel only to find themselves suffering their fate of acting in a movie.
- Riot
- A med student fainted when feeling "presence" about his corpse. His fears were reinforced by the mysterious death of a friend. He must find a relationship before an angry spirit can lead to further retaliation.
- Evil Small Things
- Recently widowed Karen Tunny and her two daughters, Sarah and Emma, ​​moved to a remote mountain home in Pennsylvania that Karen inherited from her late husband's family. On Thursday, November 16, 2006, Dark Delicacies, a horror-themed bookshop in Burbank, CA held a signing ceremony with about 30 filmmakers and talents from the films.
Miss HorrorFest 2006
A contest for the 'official spokesperson' of the film series and for After Dark Films, was announced September 2006 on YouTube. Participants auditioned both online and direct in Los Angeles and New York locations, and then flown to these cities to perform at the Fuse/Fangoria Chainsaw Awards, Fangoria Radio Show with Dee Snider and Debbie Rochon, PlayMania and a series of short reality Movie style displayed on YouTube. The four finalists are chieko13, msblackbetty, darkspidernyc, and Ysabella Brave. The internet voting ended on November 9, 2006. Msblackbetty was named Miss HorrorFest 2006 on November 18, 2006.
DVD HorrorFest 2006 Release
7 of the original list of 8 films from the 2006 festival was released on DVD on March 27, 2007. The Abandoned was released on June 19, 2007, a delay caused by a theatical relaunch.. From the bonus movie, Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horror was released on September 11, 2007, and The Tripper was released by Fox Video on October 23, 2007.

- Borderland
- Phil and his two friends traveled to the Mexican border town to celebrate their college graduation. While there, they experience a cult seeking human sacrifice and their weekend becomes a bloody survival test.
- Crazy Eight
- After a childhood friend died together, six friends reunited for a funeral. While there, they found a map to find a time capsule in an abandoned hospital. They went hunting for this time capsule, but found something else too: the remains of a dead child.
- Ian Stone's Death
- Ian Stone is a young Englishman who finds himself caught in a cycle of continuous death every night, just to wake up with a different life.
- Dead Lake
- A group of teenagers inherited a motel on the lake, only to uncover a series of dark and frightening family secrets.

- A group of people in the post-apocalyptic world of what was once a city of Philadelphia had to struggle to survive against a group of ferocious cannibals.
- Digged
- The creatures unearthed during archaeological excavations in New Mexico City terrorize people in the city.
- Frontier (s)
- A group of criminals are trying to take advantage of the unrest that occurred after the conservative regime took control of France, only to rampage the families of neo-Nazi cannibals living in remote villas on the French-German border. Frontier (s) was scheduled to be one of the films shown at Horrorfest 2007, but after the MPAA gave the NC-17 rating film, it was decided that it would be released to theaters separately in May 2008. The DVD was released with the Horrorfest the same as other movies.
A deadly pandemic broke out in New York City and six evacuees found themselves trapped in their tenement building against the growing number of people like zombies infected by rat bites that turned into "are-rats".
Miss HorrorFest 2007
Mrs Malice (aka Melissa Jones) was selected as Miss HorrorFest 2007. In 2008, she joined the Butterfly Effect: Revelation player, which was featured as part of Horrorfest III.

- Damaged
- A young English woman is surprised to see what she looks like, driving one day. She follows the woman, who triggers a series of events that bring her into the haunting nightmare reality.
- The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations
- A young man with the power of time travel to solve the mystery of his girlfriend's death. But in doing so, he frees a vindictive serial killer.
- Dying dying
- Australian zoologist Nina and her four friends go to the Tasmanian Forest to look for an extinct Tasmanian tiger. What they found, however, was a cannibal clan that was descended from a famous serial killer known as The Pieman.
- From In
- The inhabitants of a small town in Maryland are beginning to die, who is suspected of committing suicide.
- Perkins '14
- Ronald Perkins brainwashed 14 people, to create an army that would defend him from his parents' killers.

- A young woman meets a girl in a bar and returns to her family farm in rural Georgia in hopes of getting out of a cruel situation. Unfortunately, this safe place ended up much rougher than the previous one.
- Sound
- Last night, brutal murder became a daily occurrence when friends revived friends, brothers reliving sisters, and husbands turned wives. Originally released in South Korea as 'Du saram yi-da' ("Two people"), based on the best-selling Korean comic book series of the same name. Also known as 'Someone Behind You'.
After the Dark Film was produced and distributed both Slaughter and Perkins' 14, it made it the first film produced by the company and later released as part of 8 Films to Die For.
Miss HorrorFest 2008
Auditions for Miss Horrorfest 2008 are open from 15 September to 17 October. There was an online audition via YouTube, as well as an on-site audition on October 6, 2008 at Sherman Oaks California. On 31 October, 8 semi-finalists were announced: X-Actra, Princess Agoniya, Shelly Martinez, Saffron Sinclaire, Dracula Girl, Satan, Vic Tim, and Bella Vamp. Three weeks later, four finalists were selected: Demon, Princess Agoniya, Vic Tim, and Saffron Sinclaire. On December 13, Vic Tim (aka Kelly Marchand) was announced as the third Miss Horrorfest.

DVD was released on March 31, 2009.
HorrorFest 4 (2010)
After Dark's HorrorFest for 2010 is scheduled for January 29th to February 4th, 2010.

- Dread
- Dread, the second in the Book of Blood franchise is a thriller horror about three New England students working in a documentary for school focusing on what others fear in life... and one of them is a the psychopath who took his work too seriously.
- Final

- Killing
- It's been 5 years since the epidemic swept 85% of the world's population, but the war between Re-Animates (Re-Ans) and humans paid off, as most of the big cities are still uninhabitable.
